Summer Reflections

I hope you’re all enjoying your summer break! For me, it is a chance to reflect on the past year and what I’ve enjoyed most about tutoring.

Working with small groups and one-to-ones has been incredibly rewarding. Watching confidence grow and fear fall away has been a real privilege. Getting to know each individual student, learning what makes them tick, has been one of the most intriguing parts. I’ve had the pleasure of supporting amazing students of all ages, and it’s been an honour to be part of their learning.

Those lightbulb moments, when a new approach, an exam tip, or just a fresh perspective makes something finally click, never get old. I’ve found myself bursting with pride more times than I can count.

Some of the phrases I’ve found myself repeating again and again this year:

• “You know enough. You can do this.”
• “You just don’t know that bit yet.”
• “I can help you with that.”
• “Look how far you’ve come.”

And every time, I mean it.

Here’s to more growth, more breakthroughs, and many more moments of pride ahead.

🎉 One Year of Tutoring – Grateful, Proud, and Inspired 🎉

Today marks the end of my very first year as a tutor — and what a journey it's been! From the nervous excitement of my first session to watching my students grow in confidence and skill, this year has been nothing short of amazing.

I’ve learned so much — not just about teaching, but about patience, empathy, and the power of encouragement. Every question asked, every "aha!" moment, and every small victory reminded me why I chose to do this in the first place.

To my students: thank you for trusting me. To the parents and families: thank you for your support. And to everyone who cheered me on along the way — I see you, and I’m so grateful. 💛
