❗️Important Information ❗️

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the building work currently being carried out is not going to be complete in time for returning children to come back when planned.

Returners will now come back to nursery on Monday 7th September. A letter has been sent to all parents / carers.

We apologise for the inconvenience this causes our families and thank you for your cooperation ❤️💛

As we close our nursery doors on another incredible academic year, our hearts are bursting with pride ❤️💛❤️💛

What a privilege it has been to watch each and every one of our wonderful children grow, learn, laugh and flourish over the past year ❤️💛
From the first nervous smiles to the proud smiles of new found confidence, every moment has been a joy to witness ❤️💛

To our children who are leaving us to begin their next adventures, we are so incredibly proud of you. Although it is hard to say goodbye, we know you are ready for the next step in your learning journey ❤️ Remember the friendships you have made, the memories you have created and remember that you can achieve anything!!! You will always be part of the Oxclose Community Nursery family and we will miss your smiles and personalities so much ❤️

To all of our families, thank you for placing your trust in us and it has been an honour to be part of your child’s early years journey. We are grateful for your constant kindness and support throughout the year ❤️💛

Our children have been celebrating the excitement of the World Cup as we traveled around the globe learning about different countries, different flags, cultures, traditions and food……as well as practising our football skills⚽️.🌏⚽️🌏⚽️

Watch this space for some future stars! ⚽️🏆 and good luck to England for tonight 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

🚓👮‍♂️ Police at Oxclose Community Nursery School…… but don’t worry, everyone was innocent! ❤️

We had a very important visitor at nursery - one of our fantastic local police officers. 👮‍♂️🚓

The police officer was amazing, showing us around the police van, letting us hear the siren and teaching us all about staying safe and helping others.

No one was arrested... although a few people were questioned, and we're still investigating who stole the police officer’s jammy dodger! 😳👮‍♂️

A huge thank you to Chris for spending the morning with us and making it such a memorable visit. The children had an absolutely fantastic time! 💙 🚓👮‍♂️

Cedar Group finally made it to forest school! 🌿🌱🌿🌱
Once we arrived, we set about exploring the forest making sure we didn't get lost, we made marks on the trees using special tree pencils (charcoal) to make a trail so we could find our way back. We had a great time exploring the very overgrown forest and had to be very careful walking on the uneven terrain and watching out for all the stinging nettles that have grown wild in the warm weather! 🌿🍃🌿🍃
We found an amazing climbing tree 🌳 where we could practise our climbing and had to think very carefully about taking risks and assessing if it was safe to climb.
Well done Cedar Group! We got there eventually! ❤️

Football fun at nursery ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

Our little footballers have been having an amazing time taking part in our weekly football sessions with Jake, our fantastic coach from The Foundation of Light

Linked to the excitement of the World Cup, the children have been developing their football skills through games and activities over the past 4 weeks ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

A very big thank you to Jake! Hopefully we will see you next year ⚽️⚽️

It is forecast to be really warm next week❗️

Please ensure children have suncream on before they come to nursery and are dressed in loose, cool clothes whilst ensuring appropriate footwear (no crocs or sandals).

💙 Drowning Prevention Week - 13th to 20th June!

Please see information linked with the annual water safety campaign designed to educate children and young people in water safety and lifesaving skills.

We feel this is important to share before the summer holidays when young people are outdoors more and need these skills and knowledge most, so everyone can enjoy water safely 🩵
