Learning one instrument takes commitment. Learning two deserves a little extra recognition! 🎶

Grace, Molly and Sofia have each completed their Side Quest: 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗿, recognising the extra effort they’re putting into learning a second instrument here at Sweet Symphony.

🎤🎹 Grace - Singing & Piano
🎤🎹 Molly - Singing & Piano
🪕🎹 Sofia - Ukulele & Piano

Two instruments means different skills to develop and more to practise. This award celebrates their willingness to take on a new challenge and the hard work they’re putting into both instruments.

Well done, Grace, Molly and Sofia - we’re very proud of you! 💜

When the school routine begins again, what would you like your child’s time outside the classroom to give them?

For many families, it is about more than simply filling an evening. They want an activity that helps their child develop confidence, build lasting skills and experience the pride that comes from making real progress.

Music lessons provide a regular space to work towards clear goals with encouragement and support along the way.

A trial lesson allows your child to experience that environment for themselves - calmly, comfortably and without pressure.

If you are choosing a meaningful addition to your family’s September routine, you are welcome to get in touch.

We have a little confession to make… we messed up! 😄

Arun earned his 🟡𝗬𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗪🟡 Singing band back in December, but after that, we managed to award some of his colours in the wrong order. Thankfully, Arun’s singing progress was much better organised than we were - the mix-up was purely with the bands and didn’t affect his learning or progress at all!

We’ve now straightened out our rainbow, and in July Arun officially earned his 🟤𝗕𝗥𝗢𝗪𝗡🟤 Singing band.

That means he has just one colour left before completing the entire Singing Roadmap - a fantastic achievement!

Well done, Arun, and thank you for keeping us on track! 🎶

This weekend, one of our own is swapping the music room for 13.1 miles! 🏃‍♂️🎶

Our fabulous teacher Mark is taking on the Great North Run and raising money for Diabetes UK - a very worthy cause that supports people affected by diabetes and funds vital research.

We’re incredibly proud of him and wish him the very best of luck. We’ll all be cheering you on, Mark!

If you would like to support Mark and make a donation, you can visit his fundraising page here:

Confidence doesn't usually appear all at once.

It grows through lots of small moments - mastering a new skill, earning a Roadmap milestone, performing in front of others for the first time, or simply realising that something which once felt difficult now feels easy.

That's exactly why we created our Roadmaps.

By giving students clear, achievable goals and celebrating each milestone along the way, they can see just how far they've come. Instead of wondering whether they're making progress, they have regular reminders that they're improving.

Every child builds confidence differently, but having a clear pathway and supportive teachers helps make that journey feel positive, achievable and rewarding.

Looking for a singing class where your child can build confidence, develop their voice and make steady progress alongside others their age?

Our Singing 4-6 classes offer a warm, encouraging environment with plenty of structure and support from our singing teachers, Meg and Hannah.

We don’t have many spaces remaining, but there are still a handful available across the week with both teachers.

If you’d like to see whether the class feels right for your child, a trial lesson is a relaxed, low-pressure place to begin.

Nearly two years of guitar lessons - and now Eddie is taking to the recital stage! 🎸

At our summer recital, 12-year-old Eddie performed “People Are Strange” by The Doors.

It was a brilliant opportunity for him to share the progress he has made since starting lessons with us nearly two years ago. Performing takes preparation, focus and courage, and Eddie should feel very proud of what he achieved.

Well done, Eddie! 👏

The computer’s back on… and you’ve certainly kept our inbox busy! 😊

We’re open again from today, with MANY emails, phone calls and new sign-ups waiting to greet us. Please bear with us as we work through everything, and thank you for your patience.

If you need to reschedule a lesson, please log into the student portal and make the change there.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone back in the studio this week! 🎶

The start of a new school year can feel exciting - and a little overwhelming.

New classrooms, new teachers and changing routines can take time to settle into. A weekly music lesson can offer something reassuring in the middle of it all: a familiar time, a clear structure and a supportive place to build confidence.

There is no pressure to arrive already knowing what to do. A trial lesson is simply a relaxed opportunity for your child to meet us, experience the studio and see how learning music might feel.

If music lessons are something you have been considering for September, you are warmly invited to get in touch.
