☀️ HEATWAVE UPDATE – WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY ☀️
Due to the forecast high temperatures, parents/carers have the option to collect their child early between 1:10pm–1:30pm on Wednesday and Thursday.
📍 Collection Points:
• Saplings & Reception – Salings external exit
• Juniper – Juniper classroom entrance
• All other classes – Small Hall entrance
⚠️ The early collection window is 1:10pm–1:30pm only. After 1:30pm, children will remain in school until their normal home time.
💧 Please ensure your child brings:
• A named water bottle
• A sun hat
• Sunscreen applied before school
👨👩👧 Year 5 & 6 Parents:
All Year 5 and Year 6 children must be collected by a parent, carer or authorised adult during the early collection window. Children who usually walk home independently will not be permitted to do so between 1:10pm–1:30pm due to the extreme heat.
We will continue to provide additional water breaks, cooler learning spaces and adapted activities throughout the day.
Thank you for your support as we work together to keep our school community safe during this period of exceptionally hot weather. ☀️

🌟 National Thank a Teacher Day 🌟
Today, we celebrate the incredible staff who make a difference every single day. From teachers and teaching assistants to office staff, lunchtime supervisors, site teams, and everyone in between – thank you for your dedication, patience, kindness, and care.
Each member of staff plays a vital role in helping children learn, grow, achieve, and believe in themselves.
As a small token of appreciation, every member of the Woodloes team received a certificate and a yellow rose as a reminder of the positive impact they have on the lives of children and families every day. 💛🌹
Thank you for being our School Heroes.

✨ This Week at Woodloes ✨
It’s been another fantastic week of learning and enrichment across the school!
🐾 Year 2 enjoyed an Animal Survival Hunt, exploring how different animals adapt and thrive in their environments.
🏊 Our Year 5 and 6 pupils made the most of our onsite pool, developing their confidence and skills in the water.
👏 We were also delighted to welcome Mrs Howell from the Trust, who was incredibly impressed with the calm and purposeful manner shown by our pupils throughout the school.
A wonderful week all round—well done everyone! 💛
