Summer Solstice Picnic at Chesterton Windmill π
Join us for a very special evening get-together as we gather to celebrate the Summer Solstice with our home ed community π
This was one of our favourite meet-ups of the whole year last summer... a truly wholesome evening spent chatting, playing, sharing food and watching the sun go down together. We're so excited to do it all again!
The forecast is looking glorious βοΈ so pack up a picnic dinner, grab a blanket or camping chair, and come and enjoy a relaxed evening in one of the most beautiful spots in Warwickshire.
Feel free to bring along any outdoor games, balls or musical instruments you'd like to share with the group too.
Whether you fancy a kickabout, a game with friends, some music, or simply sitting and soaking up the atmosphere, there'll be plenty of space to enjoy the evening your own way π
As our previous art session here was sadly rained off, we'll also bring along some materials for anyone who would like to have a go at painting the landscape. No pressure at all to take part... just a little creative opportunity for those who fancy it π¨
With a bit of luck, we'll be treated to a beautiful sunset in a truly stunning setting π

π¬ GCSE ART | VINTAGE FILM PROJECT
One of my students is passionate about film, so they chose to create this striking graphite portrait inspired by a favourite movie character.
At The Art & Design Room, students are encouraged to explore their own interests and develop projects that feel personal and meaningful. Whether theyβre inspired by film, fashion, gaming, nature, architecture or illustration, we use those passions as a starting point for building strong GCSE Art portfolios.
Students are welcome to join my GCSE Art programme, where creativity, individuality and skill development sit at the heart of every project. π
