We are delighted to be hosting Sandiep Khosa, Executive Director at JP Morgan Chase and the Engineering Lead for Athena Risk/PNL and Market Data this Thursday, 3 December.

He has extensive experience in technology and software engineering not only at JP Morgan, but other major institutions including Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. Mr Khosa’s talk will be invaluable to anyone with an interest in technology and software engineering or a career in investment banking.

Sandiep Khosa’s investment banking career began in 2001 at Morgan Stanley, where he was involved in developing Credit Derivative technology and a new Credit Default Swaps trading system. In 2003 he moved to Goldman Sachs and was an Executive Director in FICC Technology; alongside EMEA Manager for Credit, Structured Credit Frontline Trading, EMEA Manager for Interest Rates Frontline Trading and Sales Technology and EMEA Manager for Mortgages Technology. In 2013 Sandiep moved to JP Morgan and has been the Engineering Lead for Athena Risk/PNL and Market Data.

WTS 2020/21 Election Roles Descriptions:

To help you consider which Warwick Trading Society Exec role you want to nominate yourself for, here is a brief outline of what each role we are electing for entails:

President: responsible for setting out a vision and a plan for our Society; working with all other Execs to deliver our objectives and projects; and overseeing all aspects of how the Society is run, from finance and administration to holding events and producing content.

Treasurer: responsible for all the financial matters of the Society, such as: planning the year’s budget, processing transactions, applying for sponsorship, and ensuring the Society’s finances are managed in line with our objectives and sustainably.

Secretary: responsible for administration matters in the Society, often working alongside the Treasurer and President, such as: processing documentation, setting meeting agendas and recording minutes, and coordinating sponsorship arrangements.

Welfare Officer: plays a key role in overseeing the wellbeing of all those connected to WTS, including ensuring health and safety is a top priority, and responsible for checking all activities are carried out taking into account regulations and safety and environmental concerns.

Head of Events: responsible for hosting events, from planning a range of interesting, meaningful events, whilst coordinating with other Exec members to deliver these, to attracting and liaising with potential external and internal speakers.

Head of League: responsible for the management of our investor league, including: liaising with league sponsors, partners and various third parties; ensuring the league is run smoothly and successfully; and working to promote the league to Warwick students.

Head of Seminars: responsible for planning and overseeing the delivery of interesting and educational seminars for members that cover a range of topics, determining the best speakers to deliver each seminar, and promoting seminars to members.

Head of Marketing: responsible for making sure the Society communicates its plans, activities and events with members through various channels, including making creative use of social media platforms, and ultimately encouraging participation.

Head of Women in Trading: plays a key role in finding creative ways to encourage under-represented female students to take part in Society activities, whilst highlighting the many rewarding careers available in trading and investing.
