Don't underestimate the power talking to your little one as you go throughout the day 😀💬 Talk about simple actions you are doing. Even doing the laundry can be a brain boosting activity! 'Look I have found a red t-shirt'. Use the t-shirt to turn that into a game of peek a boo. Add silly voices and lots of expression to add to the experience. For babies you can copy their babble too.

Playing with those games or with those toys from last year that haven’t yet been touched 🎁

Digging out the toys that may need replacement batteries that have been put to one side. Replace the batteries and enjoy them again 🚂

Little ones and children want our time. They won’t remember the presents under the tree! They will remember the time shared together ❤️ The memories ❤️

So for anyone worrying about Christmas - remember - it’s the little things we do and the time we spend together that actually matters to them the most 💕💕Getting on their level and playing a game or with a favourite toy together is what they really want. Not the amount we spend.

🎶It is World Nursery Rhyme Week 🎶

Nursery rhymes seem trivial and simple maybe. But nursery rhymes are so important that we have two weeks dedicated to them as themes in our Arty Splats curriculum. 💕

And not only that we sing Nursery rhymes together at every class! 🎶

But why is it so important to expose your little one to nursery rhymes? 🤔

Nursery rhymes supercharge a little ones language and communication. Little ones hear words they might not hear in everyday language. Repetition is a fantastic way to secure more vocabulary as well!

Nursery Rhymes have repetition, rhymes and rhythms!
