🛡️ To celebrate the third birthday of Jubilee Care Home, the Warwick Prep School Year 6 House and Vice Captains, along with our Head and Deputy Head Girl, returned for a very special visit.

🛡️ The girls spent time chatting with residents and sharing stories together. Some of the girls recognised residents straight away and immediately started conversations.

🛡️ Several residents commented on how articulate, polite and engaging the girls were, with one saying that the school should be “very proud” of them!

🛡️ The visit was a wonderful opportunity for the girls to demonstrate kindness, confidence and compassion within the community.

💡 The Summer Term marks the start of our residential season at Warwick Prep School, with girls in Years 4, 5 and 6 heading off on their year group adventures.

💡 The Year 5 girls were the first to depart, travelling to France. They were fortunate to enjoy beautiful weather throughout an action-packed week including a visit to a snail farm (where they even tried l’escargot!), paying their respects at First World War memorials, practising their French at a local market and cooling off with fun watersports.

💡 The week ended with a celebratory French tasting evening featuring pâté, cheeses, meats, honey and even frog’s legs! The girls returned home with improved French vocabulary, souvenirs for their families, a lot of washing and plenty of fantastique memories.

✏️ As part of their topic on Minibeasts, children in The Squirrels Nursery at Warwick Prep School have been making bug hotels in Forest School.

✏️ Gathering twigs, bark, leaves and pine cones, they worked together to create their hotels and thought about which bugs might like to move in. The children showed creativity in their designs and curiosity about the natural world and the many insects we share our environment with.

✏️ Meanwhile, pupils in Year 1 Forest School Club had lots of fun making potions, mashing flower petals and herbs gathered from Forest School to create a variety of wonderfully scented concoctions.

🛡️ For the past year, Warwick Town Council has been collecting plastic bottles from the fish recycling sculpture in Pageant Garden and working with a talented local artist, the bottles were transformed into bears.

🛡️ We were bear-y excited at Warwick Prep School to be asked to decorate one of the bears which will form part of the Warwick Eco Bear Trail, launching on Saturday 23 May just in time for half term! The girls in Year 3 loved decorating our bear which they fondly named ‘Barbara’.

🛡️ If you would like to take part in the Eco Bear Trail and explore the beautiful town of Warwick, free trail maps can be collected from the Warwick Visitor Centre.

✏️ Children in The Squirrels Nursery were delighted to welcome some very cute Jacob lambs to Warwick Prep School, kindly brought in by Lara’s mummy.

✏️ The children loved petting the lambs and developed an understanding of how to care for animals safely and gently.

❤️ To mark International Nurses Day, we would like to thank our wonderful school nurses, Mrs Payton and Mrs Forde.

❤️ They care for the pupils at Warwick Prep School every day, whether administering medication, providing first aid or offering support when it is needed most.

❤️ Their dedication and kindness ensure the children are always well looked after and we are incredibly grateful for all they do.
