We know that finding reliable childcare can sometimes feel like a job in itself.

So we’ve made booking a sitter as easy as possible:

Tell us when, where and what kind of childcare you need.

✨ 2. We’ll be in touch
We’ll let you know who your sitter is, answer any questions you have and organise payment.

✨ 3. Your booking is secure
Once everything is confirmed, you’re all set.

✨ 4. Get on with your plans!
Date night. A wedding. A work event. School holidays. A few hours to yourself. Whatever it is, we’ve got the childcare covered. 🤍

Maybe we’re getting childhood wrong. 🤍

We spend so much time trying to give our children more.

More activities. More experiences. More toys. More opportunities.

But what if children don’t actually need more?

What if they need space?

Space to be bored.
Space to make up games.
Space to get muddy.
Space to argue with their siblings and work it out.
Space to play until dinner.
Space to simply… be children.

Maybe childhood isn’t supposed to be a perfectly curated collection of experiences.

Maybe some of the most important memories are made in the gaps between them.

Maybe the goal isn’t to fill their childhood with more.
Maybe it’s to leave enough space for childhood to happen. 🤍

And honestly, I think I need this reminder as much as anyone.

Are we giving our children too much and leaving them too little time to simply be children?

This is the story behind The Sitter Squad. ❤️

People often see a business, but they don’t always see the reason it exists.

Mine came from one of the hardest chapters of my life.

Simon Squibb always says, “Your purpose is in your pain.” That quote has stayed with me because it’s exactly how The Sitter Squad was born.

We’re still building. We’re still learning. My husband and I are even teaching ourselves how to build our website and app because we believe families deserve an easier way to find trusted childcare.

A qualified teacher, mum, and the founder of The Sitter Squad.

There’s a saying that it takes a village to raise a child.

But for many families today, that village simply doesn’t exist in the way it once did.

Families live further apart.
Grandparents are often still working.
Friends are juggling their own busy lives.
And many parents are trying to do it all without the support network previous generations relied on.

I know that feeling.

As a parent myself, I understand how much easier life can feel when you have people around you that you trust. People who can step in when you need support, whether that’s for a date night, a work commitment, a wedding, school holiday cover, or simply a few hours to recharge.

That’s why I created The Sitter Squad.

Not just as a childcare service, but as a way of helping families rebuild the village they deserve.

A trusted network of childcare professionals.
A helping hand when you need one.
A little more breathing space for parents.

Because asking for support shouldn’t be difficult, and parenting was never meant to be done alone.
