You may remember that all of our children recently wrote letters for the ‘Send my Friend to School’ campaign - great for them to see democracy in action, as these letters are delivered to the Prime Minister.

It has been an amazing final week for our Y6 children. Yesterday afternoon they had a great time playing on the field together - sometimes the simplest games are the best! 🔫💦
Today was the end of their food unit in Design Technology. Last week they sampled different breads and a range of fillings. They then planned their choice of burgers and today was the final making and eating! 🍔
And this afternoon we welcomed all the Y6 parents in for our final celebration and presentation assembly. It was a very special and emotional afternoon. We are so very proud of all of you in Y6. Hoping you have a wonderful last day tomorrow.

Today was the end of a food unit in Design Technology in Y3. The children have carried out different bread tastings, planned and designed their perfect fillings - and today was making and eating day! As you can see, they all had lots of fun! 🥪🍞🥙

Y4 had a brilliant day visiting the Birmingham Botanical Gardens today. They spent time looking at all the incredible plants in the tropical greenhouses, searching for the carnivorous plants outside, exploring the woodland area and playing in the adventure playground.
The children also attended a ‘Rainforest’ workshop, where they extended their learning from school, including the opportunity to get hands-on with giant seeds, preserved insects and lots of amazing creatures.
The children were constantly in awe of everything they saw and were a credit to the school, a lovely day had by all! 🌎

🌍 We are delighted and excited to share that we have achieved the Eco Schools Green Flag with Distinction award, the highest of the three levels available. 🎉
Huge thanks go to Mrs King and our Eco Warriors, who worked relentlessly this year, promoting a wide range of sustainability learning and action. Thanks to all of our children for getting so involved in all of these actions and learning.
Our school Vision is: ‘Working together, valuing everyone, learning for life.’ The ‘learning for life’ aspect involves global citizenship, thinking and caring for the world around us and this award recognises this learning.
Well done everyone! 🌍
