Y5 spent the day at the British Motor Museum today doing many activities, including practicing our pit lane skills - speed and accuracy was key! Driving RC cars, looking at many many cars and doing a hunt around the museum whilst we explored the exhibits. The staff at the museum had the most amazing knowledge and made it a really great day! 🏁

Today in assembly we presented our first certificates and medals for our intra-school cup-stacking competition. Cup stacking has great physical and cognitive benefits, improving hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, as it needs the use of both sides of the brain.
Y3 children have completed their own year group competition- there was a winner in each class and also 2 cooperating champions in each class to recognise that sporting value. Look out for news about the other parts of the competition coming up very soon.

🌟 Year 6 enjoyed their learning afternoon today, particularly the food made by different members of the year group - they were treated to cakes and sushi! Parents were challenged on our Maths station and both children and parents enjoyed creating some manga and origami linked to our Japan Art topic. 🌟

On Monday, (a much sunnier day than today), to celebrate World Ocean Day and our commitment to caring for the environment, our Y6 children carried out litter picking in our local area. Y5 children were also busy litter picking across our whole school grounds. They did a great job of looking after our school and local area. 🌎♻️

It was great to welcome so many parents into school today for the Y3 ‘Learning afternoon’. It’s always a lovely opportunity for children to share their learning and to complete joint activities with their parents. We even had some parents who were being wrapped up as Egyptian mummies in one of the activities! Thanks to all of the families who made time to come along and we look forward to welcoming parents to the other year group learning afternoons.

Y6 children managed to dodge the showers today to have a fantastic trip to Warwick Castle!
The aim of the trip was to immerse the children in the history of our town; they did a castle life tour, re-enacting some aspects of historical events in the castle, led by ‘Sir Jacob’.
They had a great day! We’re so lucky to have such rich history in our local area.

This morning, our Y5 children performed in the Warwick Rotary Club’s Mid-Summer concert, which took place in St. Mary’s Collegiate Church. Cerys, from Warwick a Singing Town, has been rehearsing with our children in school and led them in singing today. Another great musical performance opportunity for our children! 🎶

Today was the turn of some of our Y5 and 6 children to take part in the Warwick North athletics event at Aylesford School after school. They were competing against six local schools in events including sprints, relays, javelin, long jump, and the new 5-stride event.
Once again, All Saints’ children represented the school brilliantly, showing excellent sportsmanship and creating a positive atmosphere by supporting both their teammates and other schools. Just like the Y3 and 4 team, today’s team performed really strongly across many events. In fact, after yet another win, one of the organisers asked what we’d been feeding our All Saints’ children! A great big well done to them all! 👏
