Hi there, I'm Thomas!
I have recently retrained as a childminder after being a primary school teacher for 10 years. The break from teaching initially allowed me to give more time and attention to my two sons (aged 5 and 2) over the recent uncertain pandemic period, while my wife, an NHS doctor, increased her working hours.
I felt that my experience in teaching has provided me with a wealth of knowledge and experience of caring for and encouraging the development of children, and I believe I can offer this even better in a smaller, more family-orientated environment than a large group.
I enjoy going for walks and exploring the great outdoors with my children - seeing the natural world through children's eyes is fascinating and we learn something new almost every day.
I also have a passion for history and science and frequently take the boys to museums, historic buildings such as National Trust properties, where their interest and creativity can be nourished.
My personal hobby is model cars and I have a YouTube channel which has grown steadily over lockdown! The boys alternate between finding this fascinating and boring!
I live in Woodloes park in Warwick, near to open green spaces, multiple play areas, and the Grand Union canal. We also have a good sized garden with lawn, patio, playhouse, swings and slide.
We have good access to the A46 and central Warwick. Parking is available with safe and easy access.
I have a full diving licence and multi stage car seats.
