Today Aylesford hosted the yearly Primary Athletics Competition. As always, it was incredibly well supported, with pupils from six local primary schools joining us for an afternoon of track and field events. The children showed fantastic enthusiasm, determination and sportsmanship throughout, and it was wonderful to see local schools coming together to compete and connect.
Thanks to Mrs Thomas for all her hard work in ensuring the event ran smoothly, and congratulations to all those who took part. We wish the event winners the very best of luck as they go on to represent their schools at the Warwickshire Finals later this month.
We look forward to welcoming Years 5 and 6 this coming Monday!

Today marks another exciting milestone in our Refurbishment Project! As we return for another great term of learning, we get to use our newly renovated Food Technology rooms for the first time! The updated spaces include new cooking and meal preparation areas and the new layout means students can now work in pairs instead of threes, creating even better learning opportunities.
Miss Rogers is delighted to be back in a fully equipped kitchen. She said: ”it’s fantastic to be back in a fully equipped kitchen - I can’t wait to see students building confidence, creativity, and independence in these brilliant new spaces - bring on the cooking!”
We are also looking forward to opening our Gymnasium and Changing Rooms in the coming weeks as we continue completing the renovation of our teaching spaces. Our remaining office spaces will be finished over the summer. 🎉🥳😃

As our Year 11 and 13 students return to sit their remaining examinations, we thought it would be a nice time to share some photos from the Year 11 Rewards Evening.
It was a wonderful celebration of hard work, character and achievement, bringing together around 75 students and their families for a memorable event. Awards were presented for academic excellence, outstanding progress, and contributions to school life, reflecting the commitment and resilience shown throughout the year. It was a proud moment for everyone involved, and we extend our thanks to all parents and carers for their continued support as we look ahead to an exciting final term.
Let’s keep the momentum going, Year 11, you are all doing so well with your GCSE exams.

As Aylesford’s DofE Manager, Mrs Lockyer attended the event hosted by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh which is an exciting and well-deserved opportunity recognising her dedication to the award and our students.

🌟 Transition Tuesday
As your child prepares for the exciting move to secondary school, they will begin to experience some important changes, including:
- A wider range of subjects
- Different teachers for different lessons
- Moving around the school more independently
- Following a new daily timetable
- Wide range of after school activities
Over the coming months, we will continue to support pupils in becoming confident and familiar with these changes, helping to ensure a smooth and positive transition.
