To all of our wonderful parents, past and present,

This afternoon, we close the doors of our beloved Pre-School for the final time.

For over 40 years, our Pre-School has been at the heart of the village, welcoming so many wonderful children and their families through its doors. It has been a place filled with laughter, learning, friendships, and so many treasured memories.

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye, but we are incredibly grateful for the support, kindness, and understanding you have shown us throughout this difficult time. It has been an absolute privilege to care for your children, and we truly hope that the love, care, and happy memories they have experienced here will stay with them for years to come.

Thank you for trusting us to be part of your children’s early years. We will always cherish the memories we’ve made together and hope to see many familiar faces around the village in the future.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING TOMORROW! THURSDAY 24th JUNE 🚨

Dear Parents and Carers,

Due to the current extreme weather conditions and the high temperatures forecast, we are asking families to keep children at home where possible over the coming days.

The heat is becoming increasingly uncomfortable for the children despite the measures we have in place to keep them cool and safe. To help us maintain a comfortable and safe environment for those who do attend, we would like to reduce numbers where possible.

The preschool will remain open, and we understand that many families still require childcare. However, if your child can stay at home, we would greatly appreciate your support.

Please be aware that if temperatures become too high on Thursday and we are unable to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the children, we may need to ask parents to collect their child earlier than usual. We will, of course, contact families directly should this become necessary.

Dear Parents,
It is going to be a very hot week this week. Please can you ensure your child comes to Pre School with sun cream on and a sun hat. Unfortunately they will not be able to play outside if not ☀️

This Friday we were blessed with some warmer weather. We took our snack time outside before playing with our friends all morning.
The children enjoyed a range of outdoor activities such as washing the babies, playing in our sea life tuff tray and making obstacle courses.

We then went into the hall for some PE. We enjoyed playing musical statues and musical bumps.

In the afternoon we had a music lesson. The children enjoyed experimenting with different instruments and we were excellent at following a beat!

Last Friday we celebrated the start of the World Cup with some PE. The children loved having a go at learning some football skills. They took turns kicking the ball into the goal. 🥅

Later on in the day the children focused on their writing skills. We looked at labelling using our phonics knowledge. We also practised our name writing ready for September ✨

Today in pre school, the children enjoyed spending the afternoon in Class One.

We were busy playing cafe’s, practising our writing, washing babies and building towers with our friends.

🌟 STAR OF THE WEEK 🌟

Our star of the week this week has worked so hard to try new foods. He is consistently a great role model and an amazing friend to all of our children 💙

Happy 100th Birthday to Sir David Attenborough.
The children in Pre School today have been learning all about David Attenborough and why he is so important.

Continuing with our sustainability focus we read the book “somebody swallowed Stanley” before heading outside this afternoon and enjoying an activity based on plastic pollution.
