Our u10 cricket team took part in the Hampshire finals day at West Hill Park last Wednesday. They performed exceptionally well and reached the final, unbeaten. In the last over of a very hot, tiring afternoon we needed 11 to win from the last three balls. FM hit two consecutive 4s, meaning 3 was required from the final ball to be crowned Hampshire champions. He then played a sweetly-struck pull shot which looked destined for the boundary. Sadly an opposition fielder somehow leapt to his right and took what can only be described as a once in a lifetime catch to deny us the trophy. A bittersweet day but another sporting success story from an outstanding year. All of our players performed really well and, as always, were a huge credit to our school.
