It’s never about the gifts or cards, it’s about helping young people reach their potential, to get the grade they need to take the next step in life.
But these beautiful words made me shed a little tear today 🥲.
I tutor because I love it 😊.
When you send your young person to me, you can be assured that you have chosen someone who has the experience of 25 years in the classroom, over 10 of these as Head of Department. I mark GCSE Exams so that I have the most up to date knowledge about the curriculum and what students need to reach their target grade.

GCSE results will move back to ‘normal’ grading this year.
A statement that might put fear into the heart of students as they have just over a week until results day.
PLEASE DONT WORRY!!
Most teachers will have been using inflated grade boundaries for the mocks & past papers.
What does this mean?
Well, rather than using that particular year’s grade boundaries for that past paper, they will have been using slightly higher ones or defaulting to 2019 figures (which were slightly higher than recent years) to ensure that students have a realistic idea of what grade they might achieve.
Colleges & Further Education establishments will be fully aware of all this information. If you are worried when you get your results, contact them. They will be ready with guidance to help you make the right decisions.

Good morning!
If you’re thinking about whether to invest in some Maths tuition for your child, why not get in touch?
It’s never too early to start preparing for the year 11 mocks which usually take place in December or January in most schools.
I have a few sessions available on a Monday or Thursday. Don’t leave it until after Christmas as I’m always completely booked up by then!
