So you want to learn bass guitar. Great choice. It’s a superb instrument, vastly under rated and great fun to play. But first you need a bass. I’m not paid in anyway to make recommendations but I am happy to make this. The Sire Marcus Miller series is an incredible Bass Guitar for not a lot of dosh. Marcus Miller (one of the worlds top bassists) only agreed to put his name to the series if it was affordable to beginners. The brief was “make it good enough for me to play and affordable for kids to buy” and Sire complied. I play a V7 five string. I also own a Fender Jazz and two Musicmans that are between £1200 and £2000 each and the Sire that cost me £365 is up there with them. They start from just £250. Highly recommended. Beginners and improvers bass guitar lesson at the Warsash Bass Studio, 53, Dibles Road, Warsash, SO31 9JL. 40 years of experience playing bass £30.00 per hour.

Music is a great creative skill for any age and the bass is a wonderful instrument.

All ages catered for. I can provide a bass for the initial first few lessons to test the water. Lessons are conducted in the studio. I have a current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate so you are in safe hands.

Form not knowing the bridge from the head, I will guide you though technique, style, scales, rhythms, drum syncopation, effects, amps so that you are in a position to join a band and gig live. All ages catered for, adults and kids. Lessons are conducted in my studio in my house in Dibles Road, Warsash. I have a current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate, so you know that you are safe in my hands.
