St. Oswald's Catholic Primary School

Our May Procession took place in school which is a special service held every year in the month of May to honour Our Lady.
The oldest girl in Y6, Sana had the privilege of crowning the statue of Our Lady during the service. The flowers, our EYFS and Key Stage 1 children brought in to decorate the statue were absolutely beautiful and we thank our families for these. Many thanks also to the parents/carers, grandparents and parishioners for attending and showing your support. It was a lovely occasion.

**Dance for Diabetes** A huge thank you to all of our children, parents and carers for making our 'Dance for Diabetes' such a success!
The children worked so hard learning their dance—and most importantly, they had an amazing time performing it together. It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm, energy and big smiles in the school hall.
We are very proud of how everyone came together to support such a meaningful and worthwhile cause.

Today some of our children have been celebrating the incredible Sir David Attenborough by creating some beautiful birthday cards for him! 💚
We’ve been learning all about the natural world and the importance of looking after our planet – something Sir David has inspired generations to do. 🌱🐘🌊
Thank you for helping us understand and love our world a little bit more. We hope you have a wonderful birthday!

Lots of Easter fun had today!
Easter bonnets paraded this morning and an Easter egg raffle for all classes at the end of the day, with a surprise visit from the Easter bunny in KS1. 🐰🐣
All the children left school with a chocolate treat!!
Thank you to all the staff, governors, parents and carers, who donated eggs for the children to enjoy.
We hope you all have a lovely Easter break!

This afternoon, we had a special air ambulance helicopter land on our school field. Everyone in school is absolutely fine and very excited. We were just helping out our community paramedics to attend an incident outside of the school grounds.
We are all fine.
