At NQual, we're incredibly proud of Jordan Warwick, who is taking on the remarkable challenge of trekking across the Sahara Desert in support of Wigan & Leigh Hospice. 🏜️

This is more than just an endurance challenge. Every step Jordan takes will help raise vital funds for a charity that provides compassionate care and support to people and families across our local community when they need it most.

Jordan has already been putting in the hard work, completing training hikes in Rivington Pike and even reaching the summit of Snowdon as she prepares for the physical demands of the Sahara Desert.

👑 In a couple of weeks, our CEO, Ashley Robertson, swaps the boardroom for the Scottish Highlands, taking on The King's Trust CEO Challenge with 49 other CEOs.

Three days of hiking, camping and biking, testing their own resilience against what young people supported by The Trust face every day.

It's part of The King's Trust's 50th anniversary, and it comes at a moment when it matters. Nearly 1 million young people across the UK are not in education, employment or training, many dealing with low confidence, poor mental health, and real barriers to opportunity.

As a team, they are aiming to raise £500,000 collectively so The King's Trust can keep giving young people the skills and confidence to move forward.

Ashley's personal goal is £10,000, and there's still a way to go, but plenty of time left.

Assessment Development Underway: Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker 👀

Approved to deliver Apprenticeship Assessment for the Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker standard, we're in the process of refining our delivery options and supporting resources, ready to share with training providers for full clarity and reassurance.

NQual was involved in the trailblazer group behind this standard, working alongside care providers, local authorities and training organisations to help shape what it needed to look like.

Delivered under the reformed apprenticeship assessment model, this Care Services standard combines a mandatory Professional Discussion with an additional component, alongside the Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care qualification.

Deliver the NQual Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate.

A key part of a professional development pathway in the adult social care sector. This qualification, regulated by Ofqual and approved by Skills for Care, equips new and existing care workers with adaptable, up-to-date knowledge and skills, supporting more consistent, high-quality training across the sector.

This qualification:
✅ Covers core care competencies including person-centred approaches, safeguarding, healthcare practices, communication, and mental health awareness.
✅ Supports consistent, sector-wide training
✅ Is eligible for Government funding through employer schemes

This is also a mandatory qualification for Adult Care Worker Level 2 apprentices under the new apprenticeship reform.
