Today we are showcasing our Food Technology Room! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

This dedicated space is so much more than just a kitchen. It’s a hub where our pupils develop vital life skills, explore food technology, and discover the world of hospitality and catering.

Having specialist equipment such as ‘rise and fall’ sinks and hobs means we can tailor the space to meet our pupils’ individual needs, helping them to become as independent and confident as possible.

Every cupboard door is labelled with clear photos and symbols, making it easier for pupils to identify what they need and find items independently. 🔍

🌻 One of our wonderful pupils arranged a sunflower growing competition over the summer term. All classes tended their sunflowers to help them to grow as tall as possible. The winner was Blue Class- well done! 🌟

Today we’re showcasing our Sensory Circuit and Rebound Therapy Suite! 💙

🧩 Our Sensory Circuit is designed to support sensory processing and regulation through a range of different stations. It includes calming, organising and alerting activities, allowing pupils to experience different types of sensory input and helping them to become more regulated, focused and ready to learn.

🙆‍♀️ Our Rebound Therapy Suite is where our trained staff use a trampoline to support balance, coordination, core strength, body awareness and sensory regulation, while building confidence and making movement fun and engaging. 💫

🦊 Today, we’re showcasing The Bungalow – a fantastic space where our pupils develop valuable work-related learning and enterprise skills. 🌟

Pupils take an active role in running our enterprise activities, including planning, preparing and selling lunches to staff. 🥪🍰☕ Through these experiences, they develop a wide range of skills including communication, teamwork, organisation, money management, food preparation, hospitality and customer service.

What makes this even more meaningful is that our pupils decide how the money they raise is spent. 💷 They work together to make choices about what they would like to purchase or invest in, giving them real ownership of their enterprise and helping them understand the value of their hard work.

Today we want to show you our With Love, Steph Multi Sensory Room, which provides opportunities for pupils to explore, regulate and engage with a range of sensory experiences.

Our Fox Cubs and Sixth Form pupils have their own dedicated Multi-Sensory Rooms too, ensuring that these valuable opportunities continue as our pupils progress through their education. 💫

Our pupils learn to make choices, activate different lights, sounds, projections and sensory effects for themselves, giving them greater control over their environment and encouraging independence, communication and confidence. 🌟🎶💡🎉🎆
