🌟 Celebration Worship 🌟

What an amazing first week back we’ve had in school. Today we gathered for our first celebration worship, reflecting on fairy lights as a beautiful image of how we all shine together, with each child bringing their own small but special light to make our school glow.

Choosing our Stars of the Week was no easy task; every single child has made a fabulous start to the year. Our stars truly shone with their STAR sitting, wonderful walking, and brilliant approach to learning. We’re so proud of them.

We also awarded our first Glimmer Awards, celebrating those children who have been spreading their light all around school through kindness, positivity, and teamwork.

A huge well done to Victoria House, who have taken an early lead. The whole school has already collected over 1,000 points, showing just how committed everyone is to shining brightly. 💡

✨ Welcome back to St Wilfrid’s! ✨

What an amazing first day! We have been so proud of how brilliantly the children have settled into their new classes. From our new Reception starters to our Year 6 leaders, everyone has impressed us with their kindness, enthusiasm and readiness to learn. We have already had some real “wow moments”! 🌟

In worship this week, we have been thinking about how we let our lights shine together, just like a string of fairy lights. We are also going to be looking for “glimmer moments” each day — those small things that bring us joy or a sense of calm. 💛

A special mention to our Year 6 children, who have made a wonderful start to their leadership roles, and to our new Reception children, who are in very safe hands with our fabulous EYFS team.

We are so excited for the year ahead. Here’s to a fantastic year of learning, laughter and letting our lights shine together! 🌈✨

We hope everyone has enjoyed a wonderful summer and is feeling refreshed and ready for all the learning, laughter and adventures ahead.
A big welcome back to our returning pupils and families and a very special welcome to all our new starters and families joining our school community. 😊
