It's International Makaton Awareness Day!

At Bright Futures, we're committed to using the preferred method of communication for every person we support and educate. For many, that's Makaton.

Supporting people to communicate in a way that works for them helps them to express themselves, make choices, be understood and build meaningful connections with those around them.

This International Makaton Awareness Day, we're sharing useful resources and videos with our colleagues, encouraging everyone to refresh their knowledge and reminding ourselves why accessible, person-centred communication matters so much.
