This week in nursery, our focus is on journeys. In our ladybird room, the children have been focusing on the story "We're Going on a Bear Hunt." The children have loved this topic so far and have enjoyed making their own bears, playing with the characters, and role-playing the storybook. The children have taken a real interest in this book, and we have lots more planned around this topic. π»π§Έ

This week, the ladybird children have really enjoyed planting some beautiful flowers and plants. The children have loved having their own garden and looking after it daily. We developed our fine and gross motor skills by planting using different tools, and they have enjoyed watering them every day. We have been using all of our senses to smell different types of plants in the garden. They have been very proud of themselves.

Over the last couple of weeks, the children have been learning about lifecycles. They have had the opportunity to watch an egg hatch and turn into a chicken. Lots of our activities in nursery have been based around this topic. The children have learned how to hold them and look after them correctly. We are very proud of how the children have been looking after them so well, and it has been a great learning opportunity for them all π£π₯π
