Sociology and English Tuition with Esther

It’s that time of year again! Today is always a proud day, and this year my students have had wonderful successes. They have exceeded their target grades, some by a significant margin and a whopping 4 grades! Spaces for next year are already very limited, so if you’re considering tuition get in touch soon. Today is the day! My amazing A-level students have done brilliantly, and I couldn’t be prouder. Grades have ranged from A*-B, with every student getting a place at their first choice university. 50% of my students completed the A-level course in just 8 months, having had no experience of studying sociology previously. My other students climbed an average of 4 grades in the time they were having tuition with me. Well done to my Class of 23!

Today is the day! My students this year have overcome so much in their learning journeys, and it has been a privilege to be part of their success. My students this year have excelled, in some cases going from a predicted U to an A grade. This week, one of my international students took up her university place in Hong Kong, achieving an A* after being taught solely online by me. My students have had amazing offers, and have entrusted me with their UCAS applications, from helping with the drafting of their personal statements to writing their references. 3 students have successfully completed the full A-level course in just 7 months rather than the usual 2 academic years.

It’s A-level results day and I couldn’t be prouder! On average my students achieved 3 grades above where they were when they started their tuition journey with me, with one student moving from a D to an A*! It’s been wonderful getting so many messages this morning, full of excitement for the next step - university offers have been confirmed and in some cases are still flooding in. The late nights have all been worth it. Congratulations to the Class of 2021.

My evening and weekend slots are all fully booked for Sociology and English, and I am now opening a waiting list for those wishing to start in the future. Weekday slots are becoming popular for students who are home schooling, at 6th form during free periods and those wishing to gain extra support during periods of isolation and school closure. With the confirmation of exams for summer, it’s perhaps no surprise that demand for tuition is high. Don’t leave it too late if you’re considering tuition. The earlier you get additional support to fill the gaps left by lockdown, the better.

During this difficult and uncertain time, I am sure that many families and students are left unsure about the continuation of activities that increase non essential contact with those outside of the home environment.

I now have the facility to deliver one-to-one tutoring sessions online. All that you will need is an internet enabled device with a web browser. You will be able to see me and hear me via the we**am (and I can hear you too, and see you if you also have a we**am) and share my screen and all documents with you.

I am very optimistic and hopeful that this will be a solution to maintaining educational support at this very difficult and challenging time.
