Our students are allowed to access their phones (because we know how twitchy they can get if they hear a ping and can't read a message), and they are allowed snacks and drinks and to choose between their own clothes or their uniform.

We understand that they have just had a full day in school, and now they are expected to learn for another two hours in their own free time.

That's exactly why we keep our sessions fun and engaging and add brain break games and 'tuck shop' breaks. This enables them to give their full focus and attention during learning time, and why tutors teach according to the students needs and fill gaps in learning, and not just follow strict curriculum content.

Our students genuinely love coming to their sessions.... which is why we see the same faces week after week, and year after year, still smiling, engaged and learning!

Because we’re not tied to a fixed way of working, we can deliver exactly what is needed, when it’s needed.

We don’t need to follow schemes of work and rigid lesson plans; we respond to the needs of each child in our groups at their point of need.

So, if a child says they have a test on the Digestive System this week, we can prepare them; if a child asks for a session on Lady Macbeth, we will deliver it.

We’re able to revise, revisit and respond as required so that your child feels prepared for whatever tests, assessments and exams are ahead.

That’s what we want to hear. It’s the confidence and self-belief that develops once our students understand what is required of them in an exam.

We know that exams follow patterns and we know what those patterns are. Your child should know too. So we make sure every child that joins a Conexus class understands what their exam papers look like, how marks are awarded, and what they need to do to maximise those marks in their exams.
