Our students are allowed to access their phones (because we know how twitchy they can get if they hear a ping and can't read a message), and they are allowed snacks and drinks and to choose between their own clothes or their uniform.

We understand that they have just had a full day in school, and now they are expected to learn for another two hours in their own free time.

That's exactly why we keep our sessions fun and engaging and add brain break games and 'tuck shop' breaks. This enables them to give their full focus and attention during learning time, and why tutors teach according to the students needs and fill gaps in learning, and not just follow strict curriculum content.

Our students genuinely love coming to their sessions.... which is why we see the same faces week after week, and year after year, still smiling, engaged and learning!

Tuition is a numbers game!

Most parents, when they decide that a tutor is required to help their child, immediately think the route is 1 to 1.

This is 60 minutes tuition in the child's home and delivered by a specialist 1 to 1 tutor.

For some children this is very powerful; it reduces a class size of 30 to that of individual attention. The child is the sole focus and is no longer potentially lost in a sea of children.

For some children that can actually add pressure. At Conexus Tuition we place your child in a small group of up to six pupils and watch them blossom.

'Why I like the Conexus model is that I know in the two hours he is there, it is probably the same as five hours pretending to study in his room!'

This is true, pupils who come to our sessions are here for two hours and in that time our most popular model is that of the triangulation of the 40 mins of English, Maths and Science.

We don't follow pre-prepared booklets or online programmes.

Our tutors either, mark, teach or even set the exam questions and as such we model the exam techniques needed to answer the questions in the exam.
