This next term really is my favourite one!!

I absolutely love the ‘Ber’ months! There’s something so special about this time of year in the setting, The changing colours, crisp autumn mornings, puddles, muddy adventures, cosy stories and all the little seasonal moments we get to enjoy together. From exploring the woods and collecting treasures in September, to pumpkins and autumn fun in October, embracing the colder days and getting outside in November, and finishing the year with the magic of December, there’s always so much to see, do and discover. It’s such a lovely time to make lots of special memories with my Little Poppets.

We also get to that time of year when the little ones seem to pick up every cough, cold and bug. 🤧

With lots of little ones together, things can spread really quickly, so please keep your little one at home if they’re poorly or not feeling well enough to participate in activities.
I know it can be tricky when children are unwell, but giving them time to properly recover is best for them and helps protect all the other Poppets (and myself) too.

Please refer to the Little Poppets Sickness Policy and the exclusion poster for guidance on individual illnesses and exclusion periods. This includes the 48-hour rule following the last episode of sickness or diarrhoea.

Safe to say chilli boats were a success tonight. With “chilli boats again” being chanting at the table 😂

Literacy day today!

Literacy is an important part of the EYFS as it helps children develop their communication, language and understanding skills. Through stories, songs, rhymes, mark-making and looking at books, children begin to recognise sounds, words and letters. These early skills build the foundations for reading and writing and help children develop a love of books and learning.

I LOVE a new work diary!!!

I love it even more when all 4 little ones are fast asleep at the same time, so I actually get a chance to fill it in! 🤣

First day back and the children have been absolutely amazing! Six weeks is a long time to be away, but they’ve all taken it in their stride and slipped straight back into our routine with ease.

After a busy morning exploring the setting and discovering all the new furniture and toys, we headed off to the library to see our friends, lay with the duplo and read books.

Back for lunch and now… ALL FAST ASLEEP!

A pretty perfect first morning back!
🤞🏼 for this afternoon!! 🤣

☀️ That’s a wrap for another fabulous year! ☀️

It’s been another wonderful year here at Little Poppets.

This summer, we’ve waved goodbye to three very special little poppets as they continue their exciting adventures at preschool and big school. Watching them grow has been such a privilege, and I couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them.

We’ve also welcomed two new little poppets, who have settled in beautifully, formed such lovely, secure bonds with me, and become part of our little gang already. It’s been wonderful watching their confidence grow and new friendships blossom.

Now it’s time for me to switch off and enjoy a summer full of fun, adventures and making memories with my own family.

Wishing all of my little poppets and their families a fantastic summer. Stay safe, have lots of fun, and I’ll see you all in September, ready for more adventures together!

A few weeks ago we spotted a little nest in Sankey valley with eggs in it and a coot sitting on the nest.

Today we noticed the eggs were gone and then we spotted little babies and their mum!
