A big thank you to Bev from the Road Safety Team at Warrington Borough Council for visiting our Year 6 pupils this week.
As our children prepare for their exciting transition to high school in September, Bev delivered an informative and engaging session focused on staying safe on their new journeys to and from school.
Pupils learned valuable road safety skills, discussed potential hazards and explored ways to make smart, safe choices when travelling independently.

It was lovely to welcome some of our new Reception children for next year to our first Stay and Play session.
The children enjoyed exploring the classroom with their parents before taking part in a fun sports session led by Jay, our sports coach.
It was wonderful to meet the children and their families and to see how excited they were to explore their new classroom.
We are delighted to welcome them into our St Andrew's family and we look forward to seeing them again for their transition afternoon on either the 1st or 2nd of July.
See you soon!

Year 6 have spent time with One Day Creative. They were encouraged to think about how to stay safe online and what to do if they feel unhappy about something they see. They also looked at some AI images and found it really difficult to decide which were real and which weren’t. The children were reminded that lots of content online is not true and to take care to not believe everything they see.

Year 6 have enjoyed making blood as part of our topic, The Circulatory System. There were a few gruesome looking hands after creating the red blood cells out of cheerio cereal and food colouring.

On Friday, some of the children from Key Stage 2 visited Peel Hall Park to take part in a community litter pick. There was a special visitor, Stacey Dooley, who wanted to visit the area to encourage and thank the volunteers. She spent a little time chatting to the children. There was also a film crew who filmed the children litter picking and interviewed them about their views on litter in their area. The children presented themselves beautifully and were very passionate about the cause.
