Inspiring the Next Generation of Engineers in
Quartzelec was proud to support a recent STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Day at CNCHS Warrington, where Richard and Jordan represented Quartzelec for the Renewable Energy Challenge, a programme funded by Quartzelec and delivered by The Smallpeice Trust.
The day brought together creativity, problem solving and hands on learning as students explored how renewable technologies can shape a more sustainable future.
Our team was impressed by the students’ creativity, engagement, and excellent teamwork, and it was inspiring to see them embrace problem-solving so enthusiastically.
Quartzelec is committed to supporting STEM education and helping to inspire the young engineers of tomorrow, we hope that the students enjoyed the day.

This week we have been reflecting on the Presentation of the Lord, when Simeon recognises Jesus as “a light to enlighten the nations.” We have thought about what it means not just to receive that light, but to carry it into the world through our words, actions, and choices.
We have also connected this to our Heart of Newman Award, which celebrates those who have quietly and faithfully let their light shine. These awards recognise students who live out our values — through kindness, service, courage, and care for others — often without seeking attention.
By awarding the Heart of Newman to those who have let their light shine last term, we are reminded that light is not something we keep to ourselves. Like Christ, we are called to be a light for others, especially in moments of darkness, challenge, or need.
May we continue to notice the light in one another, celebrate it, and be brave enough to let our own light shine each day.

Introducing our Catholic Student Formation Group.
Our students attended their first work shop yesterday with Mr Kendrick and Mrs James
The first workshop was an introduction to the Ministry of the Word.
This was to help and enable students understand the importance of proclaiming the Word of God in the
liturgy, and to build basic skills in reading confidently and reverently.
We were very impressed.
