Today marks the beginning of a brand-new adventure as our school leavers take their next big step into school. We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of them and hope they have the most amazing first day! 💙

There may be a few butterflies, lots of excitement and perhaps even a little bit of nervousness — but we know they are going to be absolutely fantastic! 🌟

Did you know it's 'Just Because Day' today❓

And just because my team are special to me and all of our little people I treated them to a fun Pick and Mix 🍬🍬🍬

There is something truly special about the bonds our team creates with the children in our care. ❤️ Every day, they work incredibly hard to tune into each child as an individual — getting to know their unique personalities, interests, needs and little ways of communicating, and supporting them to grow, learn and thrive.

Along the way, they create beautiful, lasting connections that our staff treasure forever. And even when our children take that exciting next step to “big school”, those special bonds never disappear. They are remembered, celebrated and cherished for years to come. 🥰

I also see the incredible support our team gives to our families. We understand that leaving your child for the first time and returning to work can bring so many emotions, and our team works tirelessly to make that transition as gentle and reassuring as possible — helping both children and their parents feel safe, secure, confident and supported.

It’s so much more than childcare. It’s about relationships, trust, belonging and creating a little community where children and families feel truly cared for. 💕 And I just wanted to show my appreciation to them all today

This afternoon, between the wonderful showers, we put on our high-vis vests and reins and headed out into our local community for a number hunt

We found numbers in lots of different places, including on bins, doors, lamp posts, car registration plates and fence posts. It was great fun spotting the numbers around us and talking about where we could find them.

We also had a little play in the park, enjoying the swings, slide and roundabout.

During our walk, we talked about how the weather had changed. We noticed that the rain had left puddles on the ground and made the leaves wet. We also explored how some of the leaves are beginning to change colour and fall from the trees, further developing curious young minds.

It was a lovely afternoon of exploring, learning and having fun in our local community. I’m sure your children will be able to tell you all about their adventure this evening when you collect them

And just like that… it’s time to say goodbye. 🥹

Watching our wonderful graduates take their next big step into school is such a proud and emotional moment for all of us at Blackbrook. Over the years, we have watched you grow from little ones taking your first steps through our doors into confident, curious and kind young children who are ready to begin your next adventure. 🌟

We will miss your smiles, your laughter, your little stories, your questions, your cuddles and all the special moments that made each of you so unique. You have left a little piece of yourselves in our hearts, and Blackbrook simply won’t be the same without you. ❤️

To all of our wonderful parents, thank you for choosing Blackbrook to be part of your child’s early years journey. It is such a privilege to be trusted with your children and to play a part in their care, learning, development and education during these incredibly important years.
