Second & Final Day of the Salford SSP TAG Wrestling Festival 🤼‍♂️🔥

What an incredible way to finish!
Today we welcomed 9 schools with 36 entries 👏

Each student competed in 3 matches, giving us a huge 108 matches today alone! 💥

That takes us to over 200 matches across both days — a new record for a School TAG event! 🏆

The standard was outstanding, with amazing performances and so many positives for every student to take away 💪🌟

A massive thank you once again to Salford SSP for their continued support, and to all the schools, teachers, and students for their energy and effort 🙌

The future is looking bright… with next year’s date already pencilled in 📅✨

🏆 Salford Schools Day One TAG Wrestling Festival 2026 🤼‍♂️

What an incredible day of wrestling! 💥

We welcomed 6 schools competing in today’s festival, bringing energy, determination, and fantastic sportsmanship throughout 👏🔥

This year, we introduced a second mat, giving every child an extra match in their pool groups of 4 ➡️ ensuring all wrestlers had the chance to compete against each other 💪

We also ran additional bouts to crown our Overall Champions in both the Boys 🐻 and Girls 👧 categories – huge congratulations to everyone who took part! 🥇

A big thank you to Salford SSP 🙌 for their continued support and partnership with JB Wrestling 🤝 – helping us grow the sport and create more amazing opportunities for young people!

🎉 Another TAG Wrestling Festival Completed! 🤼‍♂️🤼‍♀️

What a fantastic day — 12 Primary Schools took part, with hundreds of children getting their first taste of the world’s oldest sport in our fun, inclusive TAG Wrestling format!

A huge thank you to all the schools, teachers, and Bolton SSP for their continued support — it’s amazing to see this partnership growing year after year. 👏

Our mission is simple:

✅ Build movement skills and level change
✅ Develop confidence and resilience through sport

🎉 Bolton Schools TAG Wrestling Festival – Tomorrow! 🤼‍♂️

We’re excited to be hosting the Bolton Schools TAG Wrestling Festival tomorrow at the Bolton Olympic Wrestling Academy! 🏆

Over 16 local primary schools will be taking part in an action-packed day of fun, teamwork, and friendly competition — all through our inclusive TAG Wrestling format.

It’s fantastic to see so many schools coming together to experience the energy and excitement of wrestling in a safe, engaging way. 💪👏

A huge thank you to all the schools, teachers, and pupils involved — and to Bolton Olympic Wrestling Academy for supporting grassroots wrestling in our community. 🙌
