πͺ National biscuit day and the Great Outdoors π·
On Friday Preschool made their own biscuits as part of national biscuit day!
We talked about what ingredients we needed to make them. The children guessed we needed flour, sugar, butter and an egg π₯
We then took turns at measuring out the different ingredients and mixed it all together. Once they had been in the oven, we took a little trip out and had a picnic in the park π§Ί .
We all tasted the biscuits then went exploring and found lots of daisies and different flowers πΈπ·

β€οΈ The Importance of a Key Person β€οΈ
A key worker in early years settings provides a consistent, trusted attachment figure that helps children feel safe, secure, and understood.
This role, crucial for emotional regulation, reduces separation anxiety and builds resilience, while promoting tailored learning. Key workers also bridge the gap between home and nursery, fostering strong, collaborative partnerships with parents.

π Earth day π
Today the children have been very busy learning about βEarth dayβ.
Toddlers used lots of different tools to choose from pouring, tipping and using tweezers to pick up the different objects in the tuff tray.
Pre school made a fizzy earth using bicarbonate of soda and food colouring, they then made their own earth pictures using fine motor skills to print using the dabbers π.
The babies used a selection of natural materials including bright coloured flowers πΊ , different leaves π grass and some insects hidden π. The babies reached out and grabbed the petals and leaves showing curiosity.
They also attempted to use the magnifying glasses to look at different objects in the tray.π
