⭐️ It’s finally here! ⭐️

We are absolutely delighted to announce the publication of our latest OFSTED report.

It is hard to put into words what it means to have such an amazing team that have always genuinely believed in the ethos and vision of Little Explorers.

Achieving Strong Standard in all areas 🟢🟢🟢 is a fantastic accomplishment, and we take immense pride in having our daily efforts recognised.

We are incredibly proud of everyone, our amazing teams dedication, determination, and hard work, consistently demonstrated day in and day out means everything.

Not forgetting a heartfelt thank you to all of our children and families 💚 past, present and future 🥰

We received the best feedback from the Inspector on the day, the best being “If I lived in Warrington my children would definitely come here!”

🌑☀️ The Solar Eclipse ☀️🌑

Our Preschool children have been learning all about the solar eclipse.

The children used chalks to create their very own eclipse pictures. Experimenting with shapes ⭕️, colours and patterns 🌙

They also made their own 'moon dust' sand bottles, carefully filling and layering the bottles while developing their fine motor skills.

We also explored a moon tuff tray filled with rice, giving the children the opportunity to investigate textures, scoop, pour and explore while talking about the moon and space.

It has been a great way to spark the children’s curiosity about the world around them, encouraging creativity, sensory exploration and lots of opportunities for discussion and new vocabulary ☀️ 🌒 🌑 🌙

Local walks with the children 🐎🐑🐐🦆

The children have enjoyed being out in the local community going on a range of walks to the park, seeing the ducks and boats at the ferry and going to the farm shop were we seen goats , chickens, and sheep.

They have seen the animals enjoying eating their fruit and vegetables! 🥒 Having fun in the park and being amazed by the size of the horses 🐎.

Walking with children outdoors provides fresh air, improved sleep, and sensory stimulation.

Yesterday we celebrated a very special milestone as our wonderful preschoolers graduated! 🎓✨

What an incredible journey it has been, filled with laughter, learning, friendships, and unforgettable memories 💖💙

We had the best time celebrating all that they have achieved and watching them shine ⭐️ 💫

We are so proud of each and every one of our little graduates and can't wait to see them begin their next big adventure. Wishing you all the happiness and success as you take your next steps, you'll always be part of our Explorers family. 💚 🧡

As temperatures rise we have remained active by taking part in lots of water play! 💦

We have been having fun with water sprinklers, water tuff trays and a wet parachute, these activities all encourage physical exercise, creativity, and social interaction. 🚿 🪂

Water play also supports children's development by improving coordination, teamwork, and problem solving skills. At the same time, it offers a refreshing break from the heat, helping the children remain active and healthy during warm weather all whilst staying cool 😎

🐠🌊 World Ocean Day 🌊🐠

We have been focusing on World Ocean Day, which is an annual event raising awareness about marine conservation.

We have talked about the sea and the different fish and corals that live in it. We also learnt about it being very important to look after the sea to help the fish and corals. Fish 🐟 🐬 🐠 🦈 🐢

🍪 National biscuit day and the Great Outdoors 🌷

On Friday Preschool made their own biscuits as part of national biscuit day!

We talked about what ingredients we needed to make them. The children guessed we needed flour, sugar, butter and an egg 🥚

We then took turns at measuring out the different ingredients and mixed it all together. Once they had been in the oven, we took a little trip out and had a picnic in the park 🧺 .

We all tasted the biscuits then went exploring and found lots of daisies and different flowers 🌸🌷

🦁🦍🦒 Dear Zoo 🦒🦍🦁

The babies and our Rising 2’s children have been focusing on communication and language skills and have been making the different animals noises they see.

Some were able to recognise the different animals, and enjoyed pointing to the pictured spoons.

❤️ The Importance of a Key Person ❤️

A key worker in early years settings provides a consistent, trusted attachment figure that helps children feel safe, secure, and understood.

This role, crucial for emotional regulation, reduces separation anxiety and builds resilience, while promoting tailored learning. Key workers also bridge the gap between home and nursery, fostering strong, collaborative partnerships with parents.
