Following on from yesterday we have made our own under the sea pictures by glueing the things we might find in the sea onto the beach picture.
We then went outside as it had finally stopped raining and we made our own Ocean filled with sea creature’s and coral. , and a few pots and pans got added from the mud kitchen as Mr J is very much into make soup right now.
Mr z is especially into sharks and whales at the moment so spent ages playing with this set up!
Of course the water sprayers made an appearance too 🤣 so everything was “cleaned” with my blue sea water 💦 😂

World ocean day.
Today the Children learnt about the sea, and how to look after it. We talked about what can happen if we drop litter and don’t put it in a bin, how it can pollute the ocean and affect the creatures that live in the sea.
The children named the animals they knew that live in the sea (very enthusiastically), then we used some nets and tweezers to remove the rubbish from our sea trays.
The children really enjoyed working hard to save the animals 🙂

Today we learnt about caterpillars. 🐛 we made caterpillars with number cubes, the older children even tried to make a pattern with their cubes. We also made wiggly caterpillars by threading the beads onto the strings.
We then glued our own caterpillars 🐛

Happy 100th birthday to Sir David Attenborough. What an incredible human who has taught us all so much about nature and our planet. ❤️
