Rainbow opened in 1990 and since then we have successfully cared for hundreds (maybe thousands!) of Lymm’s children. We have always applied a set of core principles, where the quality of care for the children is at the centre of all we do, these have remained the same since we first started.

Our preschool children spent the morning creating their own nature crowns, carefully choosing leaves, petals and other materials to create their beautiful crowns.

They also enjoyed a playful woodland obstacle course, practising balance, coordination and confidence.

✨ A little reminder as we head towards September ✨

From 1st September, we’ll officially be Lymm Day Nursery, a new name that reflects our community, our surroundings, and the place our children grow every day.

Our new logo keeps a soft nod to Rainbow Day Nursery with a gentle pastel rainbow, while bringing in the heart of Lymm: the swan, the calm water, the reeds and greenery inspired by Lymm Dam. It’s a blend of nature, nurture and home, everything our nursery stands for.

Same team, same warm environment, same values… just a name and look that feel even more connected to our lovely village.

A simple tray, bold colours, and chunky rollers make the perfect invitation for whole‑body learning.

What the children can do:

• Big rolling movements: pushing and pulling the rollers strengthens shoulders, arms and core muscles.
• Colour mixing exploration: watching blue and green swirl together builds early scientific thinking.
