🌟 MOJO CERTIFICATE WINNER! 🌟

A huge well done to Joseph, who recently received a Mojo Certificate from Sarah for his fantastic work in class. πŸ‘

Joseph has been working incredibly hard on his sight reading skills, learning to follow the shape and direction of the music while keeping his eyes moving forwards through the piece.

Sight reading is one of those skills that can sometimes be challenging at first, but with consistent effort and practice it becomes a superpower that helps musicians learn new music faster and more confidently.

What impressed Sarah most wasn't just Joseph's progress, but the determination and effort he brings to class every week. It's that positive attitude and willingness to keep improving that leads to long-term success.

Well done, Joseph - a very well-deserved award! ⭐🎢

And we love that he wanted a photo with Sarah too! 😊

πŸŽΉπŸ™ˆ HOW MANY SONGS CAN CHRIS PLAY BLINDFOLDED? πŸ™ˆπŸŽΉ

Sometimes music lessons are serious...

And sometimes Rob puts a giant woolly hat over Chris's eyes, spins him towards the piano and starts shouting random song titles at him. 🀣

The challenge was simple:

⏱️ 30 seconds
πŸ™ˆ No peeking
🎹 Find the notes by feel alone
🎡 Play as many songs as possible

Chris had to rely entirely on his ears, memory and sense of where he was on the keyboard.

While we definitely had a laugh filming this one, it actually highlights a really important musical skill: learning to understand the keyboard rather than simply looking at it.

How many songs do you think he can play before the timer runs out?

Drop your score in the comments! πŸ‘‡

🎼 "Music Theory was beyond me." 🎼

That's not something you'd expect to hear from the Director of one of Europe's most successful music schools.

But it's true.

At college and university, David found music theory confusing, frustrating and often unnecessarily complicated. The instructions didn't seem to make sense, lessons often left him more confused than when he started, and almost every new topic felt like another obstacle to overcome.

The problem wasn't music theory.

The problem was how it was being taught.

That's why we created Music Theory Mastery.

Rather than teaching students what to memorise, we focus on helping them understand why music works. Concepts are broken down into clear, logical steps, with multiple approaches to suit different learning styles. The course includes bite-sized lessons, marked worksheets, tutor support, practical applications, composition techniques, aural development and optional live sessions.

Whether you need Grade 5 Theory to progress with your practical exams, want to improve your composing, strengthen your performance skills, prepare for GCSE Music, or simply understand music on a deeper level, Music Theory Mastery is designed to get you there.

And here's the bit most theory courses won't offer:

βœ… Grade 5 Theory Pass Guarantee

We've built a proven system that has helped countless students achieve the qualification they need while actually understanding the subject, rather than cramming facts and hoping for the best.

If you've ever thought:

❌ "I'm not academic enough."
❌ "Theory just doesn't make sense."
❌ "I've tried before and got stuck."

Then this course was built for people exactly like you.

Because if David could go from struggling with theory at university to creating internationally recognised music education systems and leading a school that has taught thousands of students, then perhaps music theory isn't as difficult as you've been led to believe.

Find out why so many students are choosing Music Theory Mastery and see how quickly your understanding can improve.

β˜•οΈπŸŽΉ Can you learn Espresso in under 2 minutes? πŸŽΉβ˜•οΈ

In this quick lesson, Chris breaks down a simple way to play Sabrina Carpenter's hit song Espresso, showing how a few chord shapes and patterns can get you sounding great fast.

One of the biggest myths in music is that you need years of lessons before you can play songs you actually enjoy. The reality? With the right guidance, you can start playing recognisable music much sooner than you think.

Whether you're a complete beginner or already learning an instrument, this is a great example of how understanding a few simple musical ideas can unlock a huge range of modern songs.

Give it a try and let us know how you get on! 🎢

What song should Chris break down next?

At only 14 years old, Karl is performing Chopin's Nocturne in E-flat Major (Op. 9 No. 2) with impressive dynamic control, expressive phrasing, and excellent rhythmic awareness.

At Presto Music School, we believe in meeting students where they learn best. Some want to rock out on guitar or drums, some dream of singing the latest chart hits or musical theatre favourites, and yes, we love teaching classical music too!

This video also demonstrates the value of varied practice. By recording performances during practise, we help students become comfortable with the extra pressure that often appears when the red light comes on. We call this Red Light Syndrome (RLS) - the additional nerves many musicians experience during recordings, live performances, or exams.
Practising under these conditions helps students build confidence, manage performance anxiety, and perform at their very best when it really matters.

A huge well done to Karl for this beautiful performance and for all the hard work that has gone into it. πŸŽΉπŸ‘
