Our Year 6 children have worked incredibly hard in preparation for their SATs and they approached each test with determination, resilience and a positive attitude. But SATs week can be challenging, so it was important to take time to relax and celebrate their hard work. Therefore, we hope they enjoyed marking the end of the tests with ice cream and fun mindfulness activities β we are so proud of each and every one of you!

Year 6 inspired the whole school to raise money for Mind by wearing blue and it was a wonderful way to round off the activities completed across school for Mental Health Week. But none of this would have been possible without the generosity and support of our school community. Therefore, thank you to everyone who took part, donated, and helped support such a worthy cause - you all looked fantastic and your kindness is greatly appreciated by the Year 6 team and Mind.

We took 2 teams to compete against Alderman Bolton in Netball matches at Sir Thomas Boetler. This was the first time our teams had played on a full-sized netball court, with full-sized netball posts, so we were thrilled to have won one match and lost the other on this occasion. All children showed fantastic sportsmanship and skill, with two children being named as players of the match. Well done to all of the children who took part, we are so proud of you!

Y3/4 used all of the collected bottle tops and their winning designs to create pictures in honour of David Attenborough's birthday. Wonderful work!
Happy 100th Birthday, David Attenborough!

In the Autumn term, Year 6 visited the Army Reserve Centre to attend the Warrington 'Crucial Crew' Child Safety Event. All the schools in Warrington who attended were able to take part in a picture competition, including sharing what they had learnt.
We are really proud to share that Scarlett has won the competition and, as winner, has received a certificate and Β£50 voucher. Well done Scarlett! π€©

On Tuesday Y3/4 went on a Science trip to the Catalyst Museum. They had an amazing time making toothpaste, different electrical circuits and playing in the exploration area. All the children had a great time and acted as fantastic Callands role models. Well done Y3/4!
