🌸🌿 Spring Fun in Reception! 🌿🌸

Our Reception children have been taking part in lots of springy activities alongside our Easter activities this week! ☀️🌼

We’ve enjoyed spring-themed crafts, messy play, and plenty of time in the fresh air – encouraging curiosity, creativity, and teamwork every day 💛 the children have made their own flower potions and perfumes, made some sensory soil and drawn realistic flower pictures. I think they have all had so much fun! 🐞🌷

🐣🌼 A Hoppy Easter Celebration! 🌼🐣

Today at the nursery, we had a very special surprise… a visit from the Easter Bunny! 🐰💫 The children were so excited to meet our fluffy guest and share lots of giggles along the way.

The fun didn’t stop there – it was time for our Easter egg hunt! 🥚🍫 The children had a fantastic time searching around the garden, finding all the hidden eggs!

Our toddlers have had a great time exploring their new Gruffalo story sack! They had so much fun exploring the masks and props, talking about the different animals they can see in the story.

Reading with babies and young children is so important in many ways, and not only does it help to support babies early brain development and help to strengthen communication and language skills, it also helps practitioners and parents/carers to create and develop special bonds with the children supporting emotional growth.

We love sharing stories in nursery, the babies enjoy using props and puppets to make the experience interactive and we love looking at the textured and sensory books too!
