Birchwood Community High School is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and supportive team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play an important role in supporting students to achieve their full potential within a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Full training will be provided, and you will be warmly welcomed into a team of professionals who work together to support students with a variety of additional needs, including those with an EHCP.

We welcome applications from experienced Teaching Assistants, as well as those considering a career change, looking to gain experience in education or wishing to make the move from a primary to a secondary setting.

Birchwood Community High School is looking to appoint an experienced and proactive Attendance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can go beyond administrative tracking to drive high standards of attendance, use data to identify trends and lead effective interventions that support students and families.

Working alongside our Safeguarding and Pastoral Team and Assistant Headteacher for Attendance, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing whole-school attendance strategies, leading targeted interventions, supporting vulnerable students and working collaboratively with families, staff and external agencies.

💙 WELCOME TO TEAM BIRCHWOOD 💙

Excitement and nerves were on display this morning as our new year 7 students gathered to meet their teachers and friends.
Looking smart and full of smiles, it was a pleasure to welcome them to the Birchwood family.

They’re already off to the best possible start, and we hope they all had a great first day!

Tomorrow, we will be opening our doors to Year 7 students at 8:15am for an 8:40am start. Students should enter through the front of school and can bring either a packed lunch or purchase a dinner at our Birch Bistro. Please see your emails with details on how to create an account and top up using ArborPay.

Official school photos for Year 7 students take place tomorrow. Please ensure they arrive in full school uniform. Year 7 have PE tomorrow so please ensure they bring their PE kit in with them.
