Maths and English teacher. Teaching since 2011. Full DBS. Proven track record. Professional friendly tuition in a purpose built classroom in WA4. Academic Progress.
I’m a fully qualified and experienced teacher offering personalised tuition for children aged 5 to 14. I hold a 2:1 degree from the University of Nottingham (1995), a PGCE with Distinction from the University of Manchester (2010), and full Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for Key Stage
s 1–3 across Maths, English, and Science. I’ve taught in both full-time and supply roles across Warrington and Runcorn, including experience as a Year 2, Year 4 and Year 6 class teacher. I continue to work part-time in local schools, staying current with the curriculum and teaching standards, and I regularly undertake professional development training. My tutoring is tailored to each child’s needs—whether they are homeschooled, need extra academic support, are preparing for key assessments, or simply need a confidence boost. I also have a strong background in supporting children with ADHD and autism, and all tuition is delivered exclusively by me—never by freelance tutors—so you can be sure of consistent, high-quality input. Well, no sign of Chen this year but someone had a sense of humour writing the arithmetic paper for SATS. Surprised none of mine told me! 😂😂
