🪖❤️ Remembrance Day! 🦋

We had lots of fun in nursery today learning about Remembrance Day.

Our Nursery Room children made Poppies using tissue paper and black buttons! They explored red rice and black button sensory play, filling and emptying containers together.

Our Pre-School children considered what made them feel safe and scared. They watched a short film about Remembrance Day and talked about the various emotions of the rabbit throughout it.
They used their mark making skill to draw a poppy field with a soldier to put in their window at home to say a huge Thankyou to the soldiers that fought to keep us safe and happy.

We all observed a minutes silence at 11am. 🦋

🍿🎥 On Friday our Pre-School children celebrated their last day together with a Butterfly’s Cinema Experience 🦋
After receiving their tickets for showtime they found their seats and exchanged their coloured star ‘tokens’ for drinks, popcorn and sweets before settling down to watch Raya and the Last Dragon 🥤🎞

🏴‍☠️🧜‍♀️ On Thursday our Pre-School children had such a fun Pirate and Mermaid Party to celebrate them spreading their wings and flying to Big School.
We decorated cakes in the morning and in the afternoon enjoyed lots Pirate and Mermaid activities like digging for treasure, boat races, walking the plank and an under the sea adventure tuff tray. We danced to music under the bubbles and ate our yummy cakes before we found a treasure chest full of goodies to take home! All in the lovely sunshine ☀️❤️🦋

On Tuesday the children had an amazing treat from Blocks Party Mania with the most engaging and interactive soft play set up including a rollercoaster train, wooden climbing frame, ball pool, ride ons and soft play construction. Everyone had a ball (including the grown ups) and there were smiles all round! Thanks again Grace Dudley.
