Year 5 had a great first day back after the summers holidays. Today we began our drawing and painting unit in art by looking at the subtractive techniques of Frank Auerbach. We practiced removing layers of charcoal using erasers and exploring the different marks and patterns we could make, before attempting to create subtractive landscapes
