Here at Kids Planet Linden House we have had so much fun celebrating Easter and taking part in some lovely activities at forest school.

We’re SO excited and honoured to begin this next chapter as we officially become part of the wonderful story that started with Play Wilder. 💚

We know how special Play Wilder is to so many of you, and we want you to know that its spirit, values, and commitment to nature-led learning remain at the heart of everything we do! Just like Play Wilder, Kids Planet believes in nurturing curious minds through play, outdoor exploration, and meaningful connections.

We’re not here to change what made this place so magical - we’re here to build on it, honour it, and grow together. 🌿✨

Thought I’d pop a quick post on regarding clothing for warmer days, thanks for the prompt Rachel 😊

As you know, Spring in the UK, or indeed weather in the UK, means we can experience a range of weathers/ temperatures in one day so….layers are the key! We can add or remove as necessary

Comfortable long trousers – jogging bottoms or leggings and Long sleeved t-shirt for protection against stings, scratches, bug bites and sunburn.

Jumper or a lightweight fleece jacket – just in case. A zip up one makes it easier to get on and off.
Socks.

Sturdy shoes that you do not mind getting muddy and we still advise Wellies for Lyme Wood as the wider Forest is still very wet underfoot

Waterproofs – coat and trousers are still recommended as the ground is often wet and/or muddy and April showers!

Sunhat and suncream-warmer weather is coming 🤞🏻

A filled water bottle

SPARES – always pack a spare set of clothing, even in the warmer weather, especially socks and trousers

Dear Parents,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to personally update you on a change that will take place in my role within the company.

As many of you may know, over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of developing our wonderful Forest School provision across our four sister nurseries. Watching the children engage with nature, grow, and learn in such enriching environments has been incredibly rewarding. The passion I have for connecting children to nature has always driven my work, and I am so grateful for the support and trust you, as parents, have shown in this initiative.

Recently, our nursery group has been acquired by a larger organisation, which brings new opportunities for growth. As part of this transition, I’ve been offered an exciting new role on the outdoor specialist team.

In this position, I will continue to advocate for the incredible benefits of a nature-based play provision, not just in our nursery, but across the entire company.

This means that while my role will shift to a broader focus, I’ll still be working to ensure that a nature based, play focused curriculum continues to be a central part of the children’s nursery experiences and will be shared with other teams across the organisation.

I want to reassure you that our own Play Wilder Forest School provision will continue to thrive, and the team here will remain committed to delivering the best experiences for your children. My heart will always be in Play Wilder, and I’m excited that I’ll be able to continue to support the incredible work here, while also expanding my efforts to influence and advocate for outdoor education across all of the nurseries in our group.
