We always love to hear about former Priestley students doing well so congratulations to Sarah Ash who is currently working on her PhD project at the Institute of Cancer Research, London.
Sarah left Priestley to study Medical Sciences at the University of Leeds, which included a one-year industrial placement with AstraZeneca during which time she developed a passion for research in the areas of oncology and immunology.
Her PhD combines those research passions as she is investigating the efficacy of CAR T-cell therapy directed against the tumour microenvironment of solid tumours.
She is due to complete her PhD this year and will then be moving abroad to continue her academic career as a postdoctoral researcher in the field of immunoncology.
Good luck to Sarah!
