Rachael Walker is one off the most popular artists in the gallery. Her beautiful, abstract landscape painted in acrylic with resin always draw much interest and attention from customers to the gallery.

Technically Brilliant is a not for profit gallery, run by artists to have a place where emerging artists can exhibit their work professionally and where local people can see original artwork by local artists.
We are looking to expand out team of volunteers to help man and organise the gallery.
If you have a day or two to spare where you would like be surrounded by wonderful art, talking to art lovers who visit the gallery.

Art exploration class this evening .
We were looking at Pissarro’s Montmatre and style and used acrylics applied in layers. Part of the looking at art dynasty’s.
Art exploration class is Tuesdays and Wednesdays 7-9pm.
It’s a relaxed , friendly group, where you can learn and try lots of different materials and techniques.
Tuesdays is pretty full now , some spaces available still on Wednesdays.

Jacqui has exhibited regularly with us and we are always in awe of her beautiful paintings.

Suzanne’s artists statement:

Colour, its power to excite the eye, engage the heart and awaken the soul is central to Suzanne's art. An abstract artist who enjoys integrating paint and print, her work is experimental, intuitive and process led, inspired by emotional responses to poetry, place or a sense of time. Earlier this year she had a solo exhibition at HOME, Manchester.

We are closed this Sunday to celebrate our third director , Maureen George’s 80th birthday.
We reopen on Wednesday 26th (closed as usual mon/tues).

Rachel’s artist statement:

I use colour, paint and marks to describe my emotional response to the things I see and feel, often directly inspired by experiences in the beautiful landscape around me. Pieces often represent feelings about places I feel safe, or a place I yearn to escape to. I like my work to feel joyful, uplifting and immersive.

In ther WOW! Exhibition we have a lot of new artists to the gallery.
The art in this exhibition was selected from an open call. We were overwhelmed by the number of applications and narrowing down the submissions to make the selection was difficult for the panel.

These two delightful paintings are by Angela Slack, who is exhibiting with us for the first time.

Angela’s artist statement:

Intuitive marks gathered, reminiscent of happenings ,objects and memories, inform my paintings. Initial layers spontaneously refer to drawings, collages and colour studies developing into rich layers, paired back and added to, evocative of narrative threads reconstructed.

Fancy creating some unique Christmas decorations with a touch of class? Why not join us for this festive miniature papercut hanging frame workshop and try your hand
at this modern twist on the traditional Christmas bauble?
Join us for an evening of relaxing paper craft. During this workshop you will learn the skills you need to design and cut your own hanging glass festive
decoration.
You will spend time sharpening your knife skills with some practice activities before moving on to designing and cutting your very own piece of miniature
art. Choose the from a range of templates or have a go a designing your own, we will create 2 frames so why not try both? I will be on hand to give as much support as
you need, to provide inspiration, templates and help you to bring your ideas to life. At the end of the session, you will take home 2 of your own unique papercuts
framed in miniature double glass and metal hanging frames.
Papercutting is a great mindful activity so the perfect way to come and switch off for a few hours. You'll find time flies by as you get lost in your design!
The course is suitable for beginners and more experienced cutters alike. All materials are provided, all you need to bring is a steady hand and a bit of patience.

We had a wonderful evening with the preview of “WOW!” Last night.
It was so good to see so many artists, friends and supporters of the gallery there.
Artists from London, Cardiff, Shropshire and Birmingham came to see their work exhibited with us.
Thankyou to everyone who came and helped us celebrate the opening of this exhibition.

Technically Brilliant gallery are interested in finding some new independent crafters and makers, who make small ranges of things, from jewellery to candlesticks.
Initially, whizz us a quick email with some info and photos.

Open call to Technically Brilliant gallery’s next exhibition,
“WOW!”
which will open in October.

All forms of original art considered for selection by a team of experienced curators and artists.

The exhibition will open in October running to Christmas and be in our gallery in Golden Square, Warrington, Cheshire. The gallery is now well known with both clients and artists for having exhibitions showing original art.
