Year 4 have been getting creative as they began their new topic on Roman History! 🏛️
To introduce the Romans, the children created their very own Roman mosaic soldiers, inspired by the colourful and detailed mosaics discovered from Roman times. They carefully arranged small pieces to create shields, armour and Roman soldiers, while beginning to think about what life was like during the Roman period.
It was a fantastic hands-on way to start our topic and get everyone excited to find out more about the Romans, their army and their impact on Britain! ⚔️🏺
