Formed in 2001, DTAA is a well established and thriving performing arts school based in Sanderstead, South Croydon. At DTAA we believe all our students are st

ars and aim to provide a nurturing environment to enable all our children to grow in confidence and develop a love of dance through quality and creative teaching. DTAA is not just a ballet school; we offer broad training from musical theatre to street dance. Students love music and love to dance and we ensure that our children have fun, develop self-confidence and make new friends. Our high standard of training also enables talented children who wish to pursue a career in dance to grow and develop. We are very proud of our past students who have gained entry at top schools including Arts Educational, Birds College, Brit School, The Centre, Italia Conti, Stella Mann and Urdang Academy. We are VERY proud of our senior student Jess after watching her perform with Artistry Youth Dance in her show on Saturday night!
Thank you to DTAA students and families who came to support!

Not only did she put on an amazing performance but she was also awarded Junior Company AYD DANCER OF THE YEAR 2026!!!

☀️ What did you do in classes throughout the heatwave? 🥵

In Senior Street Dance we played with some seated/static armography to Madonna’s ‘VOGUE’!

The students were very much involved in the ideas and choreography! Love a Senior collab!!

We have been lucky enough to have ex student Lesley return to DTAA the past few weeks to complete her ‘teaching practice’ as part of her Modern and Tap ISTD teaching qualification.
Grade 4 moderns have been working very hard learning and perfecting exercises.
