Playing an instrument like the Scottish Highland pipes, and giving such joy to others at special events like weddings and birthday parties, really gives me a buzz. Playing the pipes in the South East of England/London region gives you so many opportunities like appearing on TV, and meeting lots of lovely people: a few weeks ago, I was offered 2 days of filming, though decided to turn it down. The opportunities for pipers are endless - school visits, boat trips, parties, barbecues, birthday surprises, retirement parties, village fêtes, graduation ceremonies, St. Andrew's Day celebrations, Burns Night Dinners and Lunches, New Year's Eves, greeting VIPs etc. are all event opportunities for pipers.

I can order a new set of pipes from a reputable pipemaker, to your specifications, and advise on accessories (e.g. drone reeds, pipe chanter reed, oval shaped mouthpiece, watertrap/valve, dual-layer pipe bag with zip, pipe case etc. ). I then assemble all the parts and get the pipes working well. (See my YouTube video clips "Bagpipe Assembly 1 to 11" - my channel is piperbob2 !)
