Children in Lower Primary explored our extensive grounds this week looking for clues that spring had arrived. Dashing daffodils and blooming buds could be found all around! Children then chose a flower to study for observational drawing in Science. After learning about ‘Austin’s Butterfly (available on YouTube), drafts and redrafts were undertaken as children learnt how to look more closely at shape, colour and pattern. Drawings and water colour paintings of their spring flowesr are on display in our Atrium and they look absolutely beautiful!

Last Thursday (10th), we hosted the incredible talents of those from The Young Shakespeare Company. The children were engrossed in their performance of 'A Midsummers Night's Dream'.

The children were then invited to take part in the performance playing certain characters and I think it is fair to say, we have some budding actors here at Meadowbrook!

...Investigation continues in Years 5&6 all of whom are now busy problem solving the instructions to create a Scribblebot.
They have to consider balance, vibration, centre of gravity, a complete circuit and clearly communicate with their partner.
What a fabulous investigation of awe and wonder with a handful of components. We are totally inspired for our end of term science fair!
