Hi, my name is Mia Murray and I am a fully qualified Ofsted Registered Home based Childcare Practitioner. I live in Wool which is large village near Wareham. I live with my husband, our two children, and two cats. After living in London for 10 years, the countryside and beaches finally brought us ba
ck to Dorset. I left my job as a Senior Project Engineer and we moved! It was the best decision we ever made. Since then, we have had 2 children and we have settled very nicely into country living. After having my children, I yearned for a more emotionally rewarding career. I started working as a Health Care Assistant looking after the elderly. In my spare time, I volunteered with a local charity that provided help and support to vulnerable families with young children. This gave me the opportunity to work with some wonderful children and parents. The experience has really cemented my commitment to giving children the best possible start in life. Most recently, I worked at Wool Pre-school as a Nursery Assistant. This has given me invaluable experience and knowledge of working with large groups of children, activities and daily routines. This brings us to today. I remember the peace of mind I got from using a brilliant Childcare Practitioner for my own baby. I felt reassured that my daughter felt safe and secure in a small and personable home setting. Crafty Monkeys provides the same level of Early Years Education as a pre-school or nursery but in the comfort of a home.
