Everyone at Camel would like to say a huge Congratulations to Lauren Cotter who received her college course grades today, passing with Distinction. Lauren is now a fully level 3 childcare practitioner, and we're delighted to say she'll be working with us for a few days a week from September. Well done Lauren you worked so hard and deserved your grades, enjoy your celebrations 🥳👏.

Last week at Camel the children enjoyed a lot of time out in the garden, there was water play everywhere. We had water with jugs and scoops in the big trays and water in the tuff trays with ducks and guttering. We also went on bug hunts using the binoculars and got very excited when we saw a real Grasshopper. We had lots of fun at our Princess and Pirate Party, some children had to walk the plank, and got to sq**rt the naughty animals using water guns. We also went on a treasure hunt to earn our snacks.

Over the past couple of days we have said Goodbye to our Butterflies who have graduated from Camel to move onto their chosen Primary Schools. We wish them all the very best of luck and will miss them lots.

All the staff would like to say a big THANK YOU for all the kind gifts we have received, we really do appreciate it. Hope you all have a lovely summer making lots of fun memories with your children and families, and we'll see some of you back in September and look forward to welcoming all our new children.

Last week the children in both rooms enjoyed spending lots of time in the garden together. The children enjoyed free painting, creating do-a-dot summer pictures using the paint dabbers. They made trolleys and carts using the big builder, and had lots of fun pouring the water down the guttering and washing the fruit and veg to have a picnic. The Ladybird children also helped Anna create a sunflower wall display, while the Butterflies helped create an under the sea display, photos of both boards to follow.

We're so glad the children had lots of fun on their summer trip to Bucklebury Farm on Wednesday.

Next week sees us enter our final week of term, this year has flown by and we prepare to say goodbye to our Butterflies as they flutter on to Primary Schools. Another hot week predicted so more fun in the garden.

The children had a fantastic time on their summer trip to Bucklebury Farm today! 🌞🐐

Despite the very hot weather🥵 the children seemed to have a great time, making the most of all the fun the farm had to offer.
The children especially loved the tractor ride, feeding the deer, exploring the adventure park, and enjoying the soft play – there were smiles all around!

We had a fantastic turnout as always, and after such a fun-filled and busy day, it was no surprise that many of the children were fast asleep on the coach journey home after all the excitement! 💤🚌

A huge thank you to all of our Camel parents, carers, and children who joined us. We hope you all had a wonderful day making special summer memories together! 🐪💚

It was lovely to be back to normal last week, with all the children back in and no closures.

We'd like to say a big thank you to Molly Watts and Jennifer Crossley for their help last week while they carried out their work experience.

The Ladybirds had a busy week full of summer fun, they helped Lauren Cotter create a lovely display board, creating boats by paint dabbing, they also enjoyed big paper painting. The table was covered in paper and the children were let loose to get creative, and also woth the whiteboards and pens. The children also enjoyed playing in the citrus scented water, using oranges, lemons and limes to create the lovely smell. They also played with the oats and small equipment. The children had fun playing with Paw Patrol and the wild animals.

The Butterfly room have been learning all about the life cycle of a Butterfly, and created their life cycles pictures to help them remember the sequence. We also spoke about symmetry when it came to creating the butterfly wings and how they had to look the same on both sides. They also enjoyed playing in the green coloured rice for grass and with the mini bugs.
The children have also enjoyed playing with the suitcase and shells taking the bears on holiday.

Last week we had our last yoga session with Michelle and Tatty Bumpkin, and also our music and movement session with Cheryl from Boogie Mites. Thank you to both of you for another year of fun and adventures, we look forward to seeing you back in September.

Well what a very strange and very hot week we have had.

This week both rooms have been in the garden enjoying lots of water play, we've had the boats in tuff trays going down the guttering pipes, we've had the big diggers in the sand tray, and for the very hot days some children had great fun in the paddling pools and with the spray bottles. Lots of water has been drank and lots of ice lollies have been eaten.

We would like to thank you all for your support over the last week with half days and full closure yesterday.

Next week will hopefully be all back to normal, with the extra help of our 2 KAs students Molly and Jennifer who will be coming to play with all the children for their weeks work experience.

☀️‼️Camel Closure Update ‼️☀️

Good afternoon everyone, hope you’re managing to keep cool!

Due to the ongoing heatwave and the high temperatures inside our building, which is becoming unsuitable for extended use, we have made the difficult decision to close tomorrow (Thursday 25th June).
Currently, we will still be open on Friday until 12pm.

The safety and wellbeing of the children must come first, and we feel these are the safest decisions during this extreme weather.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding and continued support during this unusual time. We hope to be back to normal next week.

Good evening

Due to the very high temperatures over the next few days Camel will be shutting @ 12 tomorrow, Wednesday & Thursday.

We will be reviewing it tomorrow morning and this may lead to us shutting all day Wednesday & Thursday.

Children will not need a packed lunch tomorrow, only a morning snack.

This decision has been made for the well being of the children and staff.
