We hope you are all having a lovely summer.

Just a reminder that we have a competition running over the summer holidays for children reading in unusual and interesting places. Thank you to those families who have already sent in photos of their children for this challenge. We look forward to receiving more before we return next month. Please send any photos to the office email account ([email protected]) and let us know in the email if you are happy for the image to be put in our newsletter and on our page.

🏫 EXCITING NEWS! 🎨✨
Every single classroom is officially undergoing a massive makeover!

Our incredible staff are busy painting, sorting, and transforming our spaces to make sure the school looks perfect and is ready for you all this September.

We cannot wait to welcome everyone back to a fresh, bright new environment. Stay tuned for some behind-the-scenes sneak peeks!

ParentMail has recently had an update, and some parents using the app have reported that they are not receiving notifications when a new message is sent. As a result, they have been unaware that new communications have been posted.

We are currently unsure what is causing this issue. In the meantime, we recommend checking the ParentMail app regularly to make sure you don't miss any important messages until the issue has been resolved.

We held a book sale today. If you missed it, the books will be available again tomorrow morning on the KS2 playground. There will be a selection of blank exercise books, lined and squared books, maths textbooks and more.

Donations are welcome, with all proceeds going towards supporting the school.

A big thank you to Love Retro in Wantage for lending us these Lego minifigures for transition week.

Our pupils (including those joining us in September) have enjoyed spotting them around school on a hunt above doors to classrooms old and new.

📚 Wacky Reading Challenge Alert! 📸

We are incredibly excited to announce our support for the Wantage Library Summer Reading Challenge!

This year’s official theme is Read to the Beat, and we are adding our own twist to the fun.

We want to see the most creative, unusual, and downright wacky places your children can find to read their books this summer!

How to Enter:
Step 1: Head down to Wantage Library to sign up for the official challenge and grab some brilliant free books.
Step 2: Get snapping! Take a photo of your child reading in a wacky location.
Step 3: Send your photo directly to us via [email protected]

🏆 The Prize:
Whether they are reading upside down on a climbing frame, tucked inside a garden blanket fort, or balancing on one leg in the park—the most creative photo will win a book voucher!
The challenge runs all through the school holidays, so you have plenty of time to get competitive.

A massive thank you to all our new Reception parents and carers who joined us this evening. It was wonderful to meet you all, and your children, and start looking forward to an exciting Stockham journey together. Thank you to everyone who helped tonight - especially Katy from FOS for manning the uniform sales.

🐾 Year 2 had a wild adventure today! 🐧🦁🐢

We spotted so many amazing animals, from penguins to lions and tortoises.

We also had a fantastic talk from the expert park staff all about animal habitats and survival.

The children represented our school beautifully and came back full of facts! 🌟
